What do you actually do? Sivewright Automotive performs service and repair on all cars and light commercial vehicles including Euros. Our Riverina branch of CRD Tech tuning offers a comprehensive range of upgrades include; diesel tuning, suspension, brakes, exhaust systems, 4WD accessories supporting Australian manufactures wherever possible.

How long have you been in the business? 12 months as Sivewright Automotive, On and Off seasonally under a different name for 5 years.

How did you get started? Began as an apprentice at Owen Toyota Griffith when I was 15. Had some great times there, very good people to work for. I then registered as a Licensed Vehicle Repairer and started out seasonally in between harvests. I then re-branded my business and started my workshop full time along with CRD Tech Riverina.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out? If you’re going to run your own business make sure you take pride in your workmanship. Be prepared to take risks and create a business plan, success doesn’t happen overnight.

How would your friends describe you? Always willing to go above and beyond for a mate in need, lover of 4WDriving, camping and always good for car advice!

Tell me about where you grew up and what your family life was like? Griffith born and bred!

Who have been your strongest influences in life? My wife, she has encouraged me to pursue my passion and hobbies. I wouldn’t be running a successful business without her.

Is there a charity or cause you prefer to support if/when possible? I am really passionate about our local food security and supporting Aussie farmers.

What has been the hardest thing for you to learn? How to say no, sometimes I bite off more than I can chew.

What's your favourite food? Cotoletta Bolognese

Favourite place to holiday? Absolutely love exploring our beautiful country in our offroad caravan, one of my favourite spots would have to be the VIC High Country.

If you won $10M in the lottery, what would you do? I would probably put half into expanding my business, put some away for future family and spend the rest on new toys.

If you could change one law, what would it be? Everyone should have to grow a beard!
