What do you actually do? I own and operate Dal Nevo Automotive. I work on new and classic vehicles as well as Harley Davidson motorcycles and other cruiser’s. My partner Ruth details motorcycles and cars.

How long have you been in the business? At this location (22/24 Bridge Road) we have been here 12 months, although previously I worked from my parents farm shed for 6 years, and I have been in the automotive industry for 20 years.

How did you get started? Originally I was at university studying Radiography and decided to defer for a year. My parents wanted me to get a job for the deferred year and I ended up with an apprenticeship at Codemo Machinery as I always had a passion for the automotive industry. From there I went to Keith Gill Motors to finish my trade.

If you could go back, what advice would you give to yourself at 18 years old? I would tell myself to not worry about the future, everything happens at the right time, and save your money.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out? Work hard, be smart with money and take calculated risks

How would your friends describe you? I would like to think the word would be genuine, though I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Workaholic.

Where did you grow up and what your family life was like? Grew up in Hanwood and family life was great. My parents were always fair and helped me grow. Best advice I was given was from my mum “you can do anything you put your mind to” and she was 100% correct.

Who have been your strongest influences in life? My Dad and my brother. Even though my brother is younger I have always looked up to him.

What has been the hardest thing for you to learn? Learning to balance work/life.

What's your favourite food? Italian for sure, reminds me of lunch & dinner at Nonna’s! Though if it’s a single food people would either say vanilla slice or garlic bread.

Favourite place to holiday? Anywhere I can go with Ruth and my dog Betty is my favourite

If you won $10M in the lottery, what would you do? Help grow the community by funding things that would help Griffith boom. One in particular would be a racing complex. It would generate a lot of money for the town as there are a lot of drag racing enthusiasts in Griffith and the surrounding areas.
